This year has been exciting at Simply Controlled. We expanded many of our product lines and bought in some new technology. You might have noticed that we carry a few new brands including Ubiquiti, Yale, and August. We have enjoyed each product that we added to our inventory this year because they were all selected based on factors like quality, price point, and innovation. Three of our favourite product lines introduced in 2021 were Simply45, Structured Cable Products, and perimeter security solutions.
Simply45
Simply45 promotes their products as “simply better quality, simply easier to use, and simply more affordable,” which is definitely accurate. They are the leading brand for RJ45 modular plug innovation and performance solutions. A few of the features we appreciate most about these products are that
· They are available in multiple configurations to fit specific cables,
· There are shielded and non-shielded versions, and
· The quality of materials is exceptional.
To make jobs as easy as possible, the ends are colour coded and there is a non-shorting cap available for pass-through. The crimper tools are a must-have and come in several varieties.
Structured Cable Products
This one might come as a surprise to you because Structured Cable Products (SCP) are not even on our website yet! However, we have some in stock and can order anything you need. One thing we have noticed in using these products ourselves is that the jacketing and wires are excellent quality. The colour definition for Cat 5 and 6 makes termination much easier. Perimeter Security Solutions
This year, we introduced two incredibly effective and customizable perimeter security solutions. RBTec is a perimeter intrusion detection system that meets a wide range of needs from small businesses to large high-risk installations. A few features stood out to us when working with several customers who installed an RBTec system this year. We found that this is an excellent solution for commercial yards with existing chain link fencing and it also works well with other third-party security and surveillance devices. It is an affordable security solution that is easy to install. With a range of sensitivity levels, customers can customize their setup to the environment, weather, and existing infrastructure.
Cast Perimeter Lighting is another effectual outdoor security solution we started offering this year. This low-voltage fence mounted solution disperses LED light over a long distance to help deter mischief. The system includes a FlashGlare component that temporarily impairs an intruder’s vision and disorients them. It can take up to 15 minutes for eyesight to return to normal, which gives security professionals time to get on site. Cast perimeter lighting can be paired with our other security products like RBTec and Dahua thermal cameras. We offer custom packages based on your project needs.
We have really enjoyed expanding our product offerings this year and look forward to adding more in 2022.
